Return, Refund & Fitment Policy

At Signature Seat Covers, our products are not mass-produced. The majority of our items are handcrafted, hand-sewn, and made to order based on your exact vehicle specifications and customization choices. Because of this, our policies differ from traditional retail.

This policy outlines eligibility, exclusions, defect handling, fitment guarantees, refunds, and customer responsibilities.

⚠️ Do not send items back without written approval. Unauthorized returns may be refused or returned at your expense.


Key Definitions

  • Custom / Made-to-Order: Manufactured specifically for your vehicle’s year, make, model, trim, and selected options.
  • Personalized: Any product including custom stitching, embroidery, logos, names, text, or design-your-own elements.
  • Manufacturing Defect: A verified flaw in materials or workmanship under normal use.
  • Normal Wear & Tear: Expected changes over time such as light creasing, gradual fading, or general use marks.

30-Day Return Window (Eligible Items Only)

Some non-custom, non-personalized items may be eligible for return within 30 days of delivery.

To qualify:

Item must be new, unused, uninstalled

  • Free of odors, stains, debris, pet hair, or damage
  • Returned in original packaging with all components
  • Must pass inspection as resalable

Return shipping: Customer responsibility unless the return is due to our verified error.
Rejected returns may be shipped back at the customer’s expense.


Final Sale Items (Custom & Personalized Products)

Due to their made-to-order nature, the following items are final sale and non-returnable / non-exchangeable, except where a verified defect or error exists:

  • Custom seat covers
  • Custom car mats
  • Custom steering wheel covers
  • Products with custom stitching or embroidery
  • Products with logos, names, or personalized text
  • Any build-to-order product made to vehicle specifications

These items are made exclusively for you and cannot be restocked or resold.


Custom Stitching & Embroidery Policy

Products featuring custom stitching or embroidery are considered personalized items.

  • No returns
  • No exchanges
  • No refunds for preference-based reasons

If a defect is confirmed:

If there is a verified defect in stitching, embroidery placement, thread quality, or material workmanship, we will resolve the issue by:

  • Replacing the affected panel or component, or

  • Repairing the defect, or

  • Replacing the product (at our discretion)

Because personalized items cannot be resold, refunds are not guaranteed and are evaluated case-by-case.


Fitment Guarantee (Important)

We guarantee that your custom seat covers will be made to fit the vehicle information provided at checkout.

If your seat covers do not fit as intended due to:

  • Manufacturing error
  • Pattern or production issue
  • Our internal mistake

We will:

  • Adjust the fit, or
  • Replace affected panels/components, or
  • Re-make the product if necessary

🔧 We fix fitment issues — we do not require returns for fitment problems.

Fitment Guarantee Limitations

This guarantee does not apply if:

  • Incorrect vehicle details were provided
  • Seats were modified, swapped, or altered
  • Installation instructions were not followed
  • Damage occurred during installation

Color Variation Disclaimer

Due to differences in screen calibration, lighting, and device displays, colors may appear slightly different in person.

We provide photo and video references to assist with selection. Minor variation:

  • Is normal
  • Is expected
  • Is not considered a defect

Color preference changes do not qualify for returns on custom-made products.

 

Manufacturing Defects & Order Errors

If you receive:

  • A manufacturing defect
  • Incorrect color/material/configuration
  • An item shipped in error

You must contact us within 7 days of delivery (or immediately upon discovering a hidden defect).

Required documentation:

  1. Order number
  2. Vehicle details

Clear photos/videos of:

  • The issue
  • The full product
  • Tags/labels (if applicable)
  • Packaging damage (if shipping-related)

Claims cannot be processed without documentation.

Shipping Damage & Carrier Issues

  • Inspect packages immediately upon delivery
  • Report visible damage right away
  • Carrier claims may be required

Once a package is marked delivered, responsibility for theft or loss after delivery may transfer to the customer depending on the situation.

Return Authorization (RA) Process

All approved returns or inspections require authorization:

  1. Contact our support team
  2. Receive written approval and instructions
  3. Package items securely
  4. Ship using the approved method
  5. Item is inspected upon arrival

Unauthorized returns may be refused.

Restocking Fee (Eligible Returns Only)

Approved returns for eligible items are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our verified error.

Refund Processing

If approved:

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method or store credit (if offered)
  • Processing may take up to 21 days after inspection
  • Financial institutions may take additional time to post funds

Goodwill Buyback (Optional, Case-by-Case)

Although custom products are final sale, we may offer a goodwill buyback in limited situations (e.g., dissatisfaction with a color choice).

This is:

  • Not guaranteed
  • Evaluated case-by-case
  • Subject to inspection and fees
  • Return shipping is typically the customer’s responsibility

This does not override the final-sale nature of custom orders.

Order Changes & Cancellations

Custom orders enter production quickly.

  • Contact us immediately if changes are needed
  • Once production begins, changes or cancellations may not be possible
  • Fees may apply if work has already started

 

Extended Warranty & Buyback Program Policy

Extended Warranty
Signature Seat Covers offers an optional extended two-year warranty at the time of purchase. This warranty covers eligible manufacturing defects under normal use, subject to inspection and approval. Cosmetic wear, misuse, improper installation, or normal wear and tear are not covered.

Buyback Program (After Two Years Only)
Signature Seat Covers also offers a conditional buyback program for eligible custom seat covers, subject to the following terms:

  • The buyback option becomes available only after two (2) full years of ownership from the original delivery date.

  • Prior to requesting a buyback, the customer must make a good-faith effort to resell the seat covers for a minimum of 90 business days on at least one public marketplace (e.g., Facebook Marketplace, eBay, or similar classified platforms).

  • Proof of active listings (screenshots, links, timestamps) must be provided.

  • If the seat covers remain unsold after the 90-business-day resale period, Signature Seat Covers may, at its discretion, offer to buy back the product for up to 50% of the original purchase price, depending on:

    • Overall condition

    • Cleanliness

    • Wear and tear

    • Completeness of the set

  • All buyback requests are subject to review and approval.

  • Shipping costs, if applicable, are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated.

  • Products showing excessive wear, damage, modifications, or missing components may be declined.

Important Notes

  • The buyback program is not a refund and does not apply within the first two years of ownership.

  • Participation in the program does not guarantee acceptance or a specific buyback amount.

  • Signature Seat Covers reserves the right to modify or discontinue this program at any time without retroactive effect.

Force Majeure

Delays caused by events beyond our control (natural disasters, severe weather, carrier disruptions, supply issues) do not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund. We will communicate transparently and work toward a fair resolution.

Policy Acceptance

By placing an order with Signature Seat Covers, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this policy, including the final-sale nature of custom and personalized products.
